Bardot- I spent years arresting people for domestic violence. Those arrests included some cops, military folks, etc. I’ve seen what domestic violence does to families and children. I brought domestic violence experts into my police department to improve training on the cycle of violence and more. To imply that I condone domestic violence, because I was a cop, is offensive.

Steve never struck Lisa. The couple were struggling financially for awhile and their arguments got loud, prompting neighbors to call. Sometimes Steve and his coworkers went to the brewery after work to blow off steam, but he was not a drunk or irresponsible. But, for a time, he did take his wife for granted. Thankfully, that changed, and the couple’s relationship improved. That’s a win for them, and their child.
