Hi Zach- Thanks for reading my article and sorry you disagree with the first point. Some people are blessed with good looks, an impressive physique, or personal charisma. Others are not, and try to improve their conversational skills to be memorable. Of course, they must be authentic and not sound pompous or like a windbag. The point here is to be creative, and not to be, as you wrote, a “massive douche nozzle (by the way, that cracked me up).

My grandfather was a Colonel in the Airforce, my dad was a Marine, my son is in the Airforce, and I served nearly 30 years in law enforcement, so I have respect for people in uniform. At the risk of sounding trite, thank you for your service.
