My Heart Leaps Up

It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and I thought a little inspiration from William Wordsworth was in order. There’s so much beauty out there in the world, but we have to slow down to appreciate it.

Last night my wife and I sat by the pool, enjoyed the warm evening breeze, and watched the bats dip into the water for a drink. It was magical.

Life gets busy, for sure. Work, commitments and responsibilities all alight on our shoulders. It’s easy to get swept up in it all, but then we miss out on the small wonders. The beauty and elegance in our midst.

Be sure to make time for the beauty around you. Sunsets. Soft breezes. Dancing butterflies and melodic birdsong.

These are the things that make your heart leap up.

Before you go
