N. P. K.- Thanks for reading and your comments. Yes, we all must contend with different seasons in our lives. When my boy was little, and I was a full-time police offiicer, I had less time for reading and art. I had to manage my time carefully. I kept books in my car, and read at doctor appointments, or during my son's martial arts class. I got up early to paint and write. Sometimes stayed up late, too. But then my son got older and needed less supervision from me. I also said no to discretionary pursuits. I quit the Rotary club I was in (despite the good work it was doing) because I determined my writing and art was more important to me. Volunteer work is admirable, but often discretionary. Choosing the kind of home you live in matters too. Bigger houses require more cleaning and care. It can all be challenging, but you always have options and choices. Best of luck!
