P. Venkat Raman- Thanks for the kind words. Regarding your question, there is generally no right to privacy outdoors in public areas. If you think about it, we are constantly photographed and filmed. Security cameras, street light cameras, ATM cameras, news crews, etc. When I shoot street photos, I try to be discreet. If someone asks that I not take their photo, I smile and comply. Sometimes I approach people and ask to take their photo. The key is to always be respectful and friendly. Lastly, I do not take undignified photos of people, such as a homeless person sleeping on the street. The homeless often have nowhere private to retreat to, so we must be especially respectful of their dignity.
