I don’t think you have to wear a three piece suit for air travel, but you can certainly do better than pajama bottoms or sagging sweats (which I’ve seen often). I wear comfortable but tasteful clothing for air travel. I must agree with you, though, about the discomforts of air travel (packed like sardines, delays, coughing passengers). I much prefer travel by ground, but sometimes air travel is the most efficient.
