Thanks, Pepper. I’m glad my essay called up all these memories of yours. A mall I used to frequent in San Jose, Ca, “Valco” was torn down years ago, and with it a memorable stomping ground of my past evaporated. But the memories cannot be town down, and they still bring me smiles.
